48 Hours in NYC for Design Lovers

NYC might seem massive, but walking is always the best way to see this magnificent city! Here I have shared my guide to discovering some design gems, from shops to great bars, from Williamsburg to Meatpacking.

Grab your trainers and sunnies (as its always blue skies in Manhattan!)  and start your day at Soul Cycle in Williamsburg- such an amazing way to start the day with euphoric tunes blasting at you whilst you spin your legs furiously to the beat.

Once in meatpacking head to Hawkins 17 8th Avenue and drool over the fabulously murky coloured linens. pastel bedsheets, brass accessories and ceramics.

Once you have worked up an appetite head down Bleekers to Buvette- the most charming french bistro serving delicious food, in a dynamic and cosy setting.

Next up the High line- an architectural feast for the eyes, offering a rare perspective  into city life at 30ft above street level. The High Line is a public park built on a 1.45-mile-long elevated rail structure.

End to a perfect day… rooftop drinks at the very classy and magically designed (by powerhouse Roman & Williams) The Boom Boom Room at The Standard Hotel. There is live jazz on Sunday, and you’ll want to dress up a bit for this bar, and 100% check out the views from the bathrooms!

Part 2 of the 48 hours Design Guide to NYC coming soon…. stay tuned!
