LA : Palms, glamour, views and painted skulls!

Our LA trip part two… includes more design-led bars, 70s glamour hotels and the right way to do halloween!

Luckily for us one of our best friends not only lives in LA but happens to be THE in the know travel guide.. so our LA trip was planned perfectly for us to experience the best of the enormous city. We started at Mama Shelter- a bold and vibrant hotel with the most colourful tropical roof top bar. The sunset and views were incredible, and the vibe was laid back and uber charming.

Looking for some old school hollywood glamour we checked into The London West Hollywood.
I would call the interiors feminie chic; luxurious brass, soft pastel velvets and crystal lighting.

Halloween.. LA style. Ever year hollywood cemetery is transformed into a celebration of the Day of the Dead, and the event is a feast for the eyes. Every one is dresssed up to the nines, with shrines for those gone decorated with enormous displays of colour, fruit, skulls and artwork.

No LA trip would be complete without a visit to the Grifftith observatory center. Unfortunately it was an unusually cloudy and *gasp* rainy day, but we were able to appreciate the stunning architecture and views. After a sneaky road trip via the legendary Hollywood sign, we ended our visit at Malibu Farm, a gorgeous waterfront restaurant.
